Here’s a little background music . . .

For over a decade, Musicworks in the Classroom (MWC) has inspired thousands of post-secondary music students by providing free-of-charge magazines to educational institutions and programs across Canada. Young creators delve into artists' creative strategies for building meaningful, productive careers. Teachers discover contemporary artists’ ideas and practices that enhance both curriculum and casual discussion.

Students and teachers tell us they value the print magazine. As printing and postage costs continue to rise, music enthusiasts like you can ensure that Musicworks will be delivered to every classroom that wants to participate in this unique program.

"These magazines have been an invaluable resource for our students who have learned about modes of music making, approaches to sound, and aspects of Canadian music that they likely would not have learned about otherwise."

—Jesse Stewart, Assistant Professor of Music Composition, Carleton University

All donations put free magazines in Canadian post-secondary classrooms and emerging-artist workshops from coast to coast.

Musicworks is published by the non-profit Musicworks Society of Ontario Ltd. and is supported by financial assistance from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council, Canadian Heritage, and the Toronto Arts Council.
